Audrey Hepburn: Style Icon

Audrey Hepburn

No one has captured the hearts of the fashion industry more than Audrey Hepburn. For decades, her clean style sensibility and radiant grace have inspired many people to this day.

Even after her death in 1993, her status as a style icon still remains. Many people including myself call her the "most stylish woman who ever lived". She inspires me everyday to strive to do my absolute best in the Fashion Industry, and to challenge myself everyday. But she also inspires me to be kinder, passionate and be true to myself. Many people see her as a 'Fashion Icon' but I see her as a Icon.

I have put a collection together of my favourite outfits Audrey has worn in her movies.

I Love Your Funny Face...Your Sunny...Funny Face....

Audrey Hepburn became an icon and continues to inspire the world of fashion to this day. She is credited with the emergence of a new style, incorporating Wayfarer sunglasses, pearls, the little black dress and the Givenchy look.

No one has captured the hearts of the fashion industry more than Audrey Hepburn. For decades, her clean style sensibility and radiant grace have inspired the likes of Hubert de Givenchy, Salvatore Ferragamo and Isaac Mizrahi, all of whom have tried at some point to translate her spirit into their clothing and accessories.

(My favourite scene in the movie)

Hepburn received an Oscar for best actress for Roman Holiday, then a Tony Award for best actress in the play Ondine. She was nominated for another Oscar for Sabrina and the offers were rolling in, many of which she had to refuse. She dedicated herself to her shooting with Fred Astaire in Funny Face. (One of my personal favourites) But Breakfast at Tiffany's was the movie which made everyone sit up and take notice of her. Her style is effortless and shaped the fashion industry.

Yes she was a fashion icon but her kindness with words struck a cord with everyone. Donating her time to UNICEF helping the children in Africa.

Audrey never thought she was pretty, she consider herself as "funny looking - just another skinny broad" with crooked teeth, thick eyebrows, a bony collarbone, flat chest and huge eight-and-a-half size feet.

She left a lasting impression on the world of fashion, with her perfect and timeless silhouette that has never found an equal.

I thank you Audrey for being an inspiration for me and so many other people across the world.

And Yes Audrey, Paris is ALWAYS a good idea
